Valerie is the daughter of Bob Nolan, owner of Deer Run Farms in Brookhaven Hamlet, NY. Valerie grew up on the farm and has since taken over the family farmstand with her mother. Valerie, 28 was diagnosed with Celiac Disease when she was 13 years old. Baking has always been her passion, but baking gluten free always posed a challenge. Over the years, Valerie has worked hard to perfect her cookie recipes... with the goal to make a gluten free cookie that didn’t taste gluten free! Valerie attended culinary school and also received her degree in Retail Business Marketing and Management. She now has her own business, The Farmer's Daughter Cookie Company, LLC.. a nod to her roots on the family farm and a tribute to the family’s favorite flavors.
